He was born in Tokyo, Japan, on Feb, 1942. He graduated Univ. of Tokyo.,
majoring economics and finished Univ. of Tokyo. postgraduate doctoral course
in economics. After working in publishing world as an editor in 1972, he
established a publishing company. He moved to Japan Electronic Publishing,
Inc. in 1989. He joined SECOM Co., Ltd to be a director of New Business Div.
in 1991. From 1992, he held two posts as CEO of SECOMLINES Corporation.
It operated educational services on the PC network (now it is called e-Learning)
for schoolchildren. In 1998, he established NetLearning, Inc. as a venture company.
Since then he is president and CEO of NetLearning, Inc. which operates the
biggest e-Learning services for corporate training in Japan. Now that company has
more than 1,000 user companies and 420,000 trainees.
Director of CERNET Center
Professor of Computer Science, Tsinghua University from 1993. He is also a director
of Network Research Center of Tsinghua University. From 1994, he has been in
charge of China Education and Research Network (CERNET) which is the largest
academic network in China as a director of both Network Center and Technical Board.
From 1999, he has been in charge of NSFCNET which is the first research network
test bed forward to next generation Internet research. He is a member of Information
Advisory Committee, Office of National Information Infrastructure, Secretariat of State
Council of China, and a member of Expert Committee for Information of the State High
Technology 863 Project. He is also a vice president of Internet Society of China (ISC),
and vice chair of APAN and chair of APAN-CN. He was an AC of ICANN-ASO from 1999
to 2001. He had served as chairman or program committee member for many
international conferences, such as chairman of CANS’1999-2002 and FORTE/PSTV’1999,
and program committee member of INFOCOM’2002, ICNP’2001, FORTE/PSTV’1995-2002
and IWCTS’1995-2002, etc. His area of specialization includes high speed computer
network, Internet and its applications, network protocol testing and formal method.
More than 200 papers have been published in the academic journals and proceedings
of international conferences.

Dr. Jie Wu, from Fudan University, director of broadband network lab at Fudan.
His research field is broadband multimedia and distance learning. As a key man,
he attends almost all important projects about distance learning in China,
including "863 distance learning project", "10th 5 year plan about distance
learning" and "China-Japan distance learning pilot project", etc.

Hyunje Park developed the first Internet in Korea since 1983. He also found
the first broadband service in Korea while he worked as a CTO of Thrunet
between 1997 and 2001. When he is working at Thrunet, he developed various
kinds of video streaming services as an experiment. He found Zooinnet which
developed internet video broadcasting system based on multicasting technology.
He was also a CEO of Qstreams which provided one year trial service of
Internet VOD with Hanaro
communication.
Park received a Bachelor of Computer Engineering from Seoul National University,
a Master degree and Ph.D. of Computer Engineering from KAIST, Korea.

He was born in Shiga Prif., Japan, on February 1959. He Graduated Aoyama-Gakuin
University with a major in literature, in April 1983 he joined the leading software
development/publishing company, ASCII Corp., where he was assigned to the
advertising team of Microsoft products. In July 1989, he joined the U.S. software
company, Dun&Broadstreet Software Corp., where he was named to head up its
accounting software marketing. His familiarity with American software business
led next, in February 1993, he being hired by Novell Inc., the Utah-based Network
software development company. In February 1997, he started laying the groundwork
for establishing J-Stream Inc. as a loaned from Trans Cosmos Inc. NTT-PC
Communications, KDDI and Real Networks Inc. With the founding of J-Stream in
May 1997, he was named vice president in charge of sales and new business
development, where he continues to play a key corporate marketing role on the
executive team.
